

C. Ollie Steadman, 88, widow of the late Charles Walter Steadman, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Tuesday evening at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 21, at 10 o’clock at the Presbyterian Communities of SC Chapel, 700 DaVega Drive, Lexington, with interment at 2 o’clock at Pine Grove Cemetery, Blythewood.
Ollie was born in Blythewood and was the daughter of the late Ernest G. and Evelyn N. Raines. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church, the Pauline Younginer Sunday School Class, the Mattie Mathias Circle, the Metro Lioness Club, Hill Climbers and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a talented seamstress, quilter and flower arranger and willingly shared her many creative talents. She will be remembered for her strength, determination and grace, her many hours of volunteer work, her care for others and her love of her family.
Mrs. Steadman is survived by her three children, William Randolph Steadman, Sr. of Gaston, Kathy S. Krasnoff of Sanford, FL and Joan S. Butler and husband Danny of Gaston; three grandchildren, Danny C. (Jamie) Butler of Memphis, TN, David R. Butler of Gaston, W. Randolph Steadman, Jr. of Columbia; one great-grandchild, William R. Steadman, III of Inverness, FL; three brothers, Clarence Raines, Furman Raines and Joseph Raines; many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Steadman was preceded in death by three sisters, Laura Marthers, Portia Loner and Bertha Younginer and a brother, Curtis Raines.
