Dorothy S. Cisneros

Funeral service for Dorothy S. Cisneros, 80, of Columbia, will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in the Greenlawn Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Ron Daves officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Greenlawn Funeral Home.

Dorothy passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010. Born November 13, 1929, in Alma, GA, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Lucille Sweat. She was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church, and had retired from Fort Jackson.

Surviving are her daughters, Linda J. Padgett, Patsy V. Davis (husband, Michael), and Betty V. Ragsdale (husband, Albert); son, John W. Vun Cannon (wife, Marsha); sisters, Patricia Ann Avery and Edna P. Sweat; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her loving friend, Charles M. Moody. She was predeceased by two brothers, Horace W. Sweat and Melvin Sweat.
