Douglas Willard Cole

IRMO – Douglas W. Cole, 70, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013. He was born October 16, 1942 in Belton, SC and is survived by his loving wife, Sarah. He was a son of the late Moise R. Cole and Edna Grace Lackey Cole. Mr. Cole was a member of St. Andrews Church of Christ.

Mr. Cole is survived by his wife, Sarah Eleazer Dillard Cole; children, James Cole, Sandy (David) Brocklehurst, Randy (Aimee') Cole, Melissa (Kenny) Lay, Deralyn (Randy) Mitchell, Mike (Rebecca) Dillard, Angela (Rick) Byers; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Bullock, Sidney Cole, Rev. Stan Cole and Judy Clark. He was predeceased by one brother and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel with interment in Bush River Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Memorials may be made to Southeastern Children Home, 115 Childrens Way, Duncan, SC 29334.
