Mrs. McDaniel passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Born in Clarksville, TN, she was the daughter of the late George Gupton Barbee and Ethel Hurst Fort Barbee and the widow of the late Joseph L. McDaniel. A graduate of Clarksville High School in Tennessee, she retired from Richland School District Two as a cafeteria worker. Ethel was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Elgin, SC. She loved to bake and spend time with her family.
Surviving are her sons, Randy McDaniel (Michele) and Thomas McDaniel (Judy); daughters, Sarah Fulmer and Joann Evangelista (Brian); grandchildren, Todd Fulmer, Beth Fulmer, Brad Fulmer, Jessica Fulmer, Sean McDaniel, Aaron McDaniel, Brandon McDaniel (Sarah) and Katie McDaniel; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church, 998 Tookiedoo Lane, Elgin, SC 29045.
