Frances Barefoot

COLUMBIA - Frances N. Barefoot, 93, of Columbia, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017. She was born March 24, 1924 in Charleston, SC to the late George C. Nauful and Grace E. Teague Nauful. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed working in her yard, cooking, needlework, and spending time with her family. Frances retired from Richland School District 1 where she worked as a Secretary. She was an active member of Reformation Lutheran Church and loved her Lord and Savior. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughters, Babs Farmer (John) of West Columbia, and Charlene Schneider (Greg) of Trinity, NC; four-grandchildren; ten-great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Meetze of Lexington and Doris L. Liles (Lloyd) of Columbia. She was predeceased by her husband, James A. Barefoot and two grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Elmwood Cemetery. Elmwood Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge.
