Gail W. Douglas

Gail W. Douglas, of Winnsboro, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022 in Columbia, SC. Born January 21, 1949 in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Elizabeth “Lib” Brazzell Walters.

Gail graduated from Winnsboro High School and was a retired seamstress and restaurant employee. She was a member of Washington Street Baptist Church and enjoyed crafting, fishing, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include son, Kevin B. Douglas of Lexington and grandchildren, Kevin B. Douglas, Jr. and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Douglas of Pelion; sisters, Myra Walters of Walterboro, SC and Karen W. Bedenbaugh of Lexington, SC; brother, Boyce “Rudy” Walters (Carolyn) of Winnsboro and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bernie L. Douglas and son, Rodney L. Douglas; sisters, Patty L. Walters and Debra W. Stanberry; brother, Vernon R. Walters and close friend, Glendale Sanders.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Washington Street Baptist Church at 1:00 pm. The family will receive visitors immediately following the service at the church.
