COLUMBIA - Janie Palmer Judd Rountree, 73, passed away October 16, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel. Janie was born September 29. 1944 in Fuquay-Varina, NC to the late Dr. Glenn Ballentine Judd and Dora Rosemond Elliott Judd. She was a devoted mother to her twin daughters, a loving wife to her husband of 47 years and a caring sister. Janie brought joy to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Frank Cox Rountree; her daughters, Cameron Judd Rountree Nelson (Gray), Courtney Elliott Rountree McCarthy (Kevin); and a sister, Amoret Ballentine Judd Rhodes (Ellis). In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Susan Elliott Judd Roxby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janie’s honor to Children’s National Medical Center, 111 Michigan Ave NW, Washington, DC 20010.
