Born in Morristown, New Jersey, she was a daughter of Rosanne Greener Zondlewski and the late Chester Jeanette Elizabeth Shelley, 50, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Born in Morristown, New Jersey, she was a daughter of Rosanne Greener Zondlewski and the late Chester Zondlewski. She worked as an IT Technician for the Fort Mill School District and ran her own Graphic Design business.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina.
Jeanette was well known for her cooking skills. From homemade perogies to lasagna and everything in between, she loved to cook.
All it took was for someone to meet Jeanette for 5 minutes and they felt like they had known her forever. She had such a soothing and calm demeanor. Always said the right thing, always made people feel better.
Jeanette was such a caring soul. Everything she did was for her husband, her boys and her family. She made time for everybody. She underwent numerous surgeries, procedures, chemo infusions and radiation treatments over the 7 years. Every nurse wanted to wait on her. Even when she felt her absolute worst she always managed to smile and make small talk or compliment someone's outfit or shoes. As selfless a person as you've ever known. I texted our cleaning ladies over the weekend to let them know. She replied that Jeanette was the only customer she ever had that hugged them everytime they walked in the house.
Surviving are her husband Jeff Shelley; her two sons, Carson Shelley and Connor Shelley; mother, Rosanne Zondlewski; sister Renee Ackerman; brother-in-law Guy Ackerman; her nephew, Cole; and niece, Caitlyn.
She was predeceased by her father, Chester Zondlewski.
We would like to give a special thanks to our nurse navigator Pam Gwaltney and to Dr. Ki Young Chung. Pam was always there for us from day one (May 30, 2018) and was such a wonderful advocate for Jeanette. Dr. Chung is one of the reasons Jeanette battled as long as she did. He's simply the best.
