John W Dreher

COLUMBIA - John Wilbur Dreher, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery. Pastor Dwight C. Wessinger will conduct the service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 400 River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.

Mr. Dreher was born March 7, 1920 to the late Sidney Lee Dreher and Bertha Morgan Dreher. He was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Men in Mission.

Mr. Dreher is survived by his wife, Virgie Mullinax Dreher; sons, Dean, Marvin and Daniel Dreher all of Columbia; sister, Libby Gibson of Columbia; brothers, George Dreher (Martha) of Leesville and John Dreher (Nell) of Chapin and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Thurmond, Gus and Barr Dreher.
