John Francis Sheedy Jr.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late John Sheedy and Loretta Pierce Sheedy. Surviving are his daughters, Cara Sheedy Anaya (Robert) and Ellie Sheedy; son, Patrick Sheedy; grandchildren, Carina Davila (Daniel), Luis Davila, Alexis Anaya, and Zevadiyah Sheedy; sisters, Mary Price (Charlie), Beth Ann (Morad), and Sandra. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lisa Jackson Sheedy.

John was a graduate of Hudson Catholic High School, Class of 1969. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran who retired from civil service at Fort Jackson. John was a strong and tough man - rooted by his time spent in the military. John had a fantastic sense of humor and a heart of gold. John was passionate about music, family, and his friendships - mostly everyone who met John can attest.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2023 in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, is assisting the family. Memories may be shared at www.dunbarfunerals.com.
