

COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Jonathan Garrett Floyd (Psalm 139:14 and John 3:4) 30, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Salem United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel.
Jonathan, a born-again Christian, was born in Lexington County, SC on December 25, 1983 and passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. He was a son of Ronald “Ronny” David Floyd and Kathie Marie Fore Floyd. He was a graduate of Irmo High School and the University of South Carolina, Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity (ATO) and a member of the Gamecock Club. He was self employed and a real estate agent with Ronny Floyd Realty. To know Jonathan was to love him. He was the sweetest, most charismatic, fun loving soul and was loved by so very many special family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Jonathan was an amazing spirit that lit up any room and person he came across.
Surviving are his parents; sister, Marie Floyd Holden (Aarron); brother, Ronald David Floyd, Jr. (Julie); sister, Jennifer Floyd Cline (Brad); sister, Shannon Marie Floyd and sister, Renee Floyd Wood (J. R.); nieces, Maria, Rachael, Bertie, Cleo and nephews, Joshua, Nathan, Jordan Robert; numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins and his beloved dog Maddi. He was predeceased by his grandparents, John William and Kathleen Floyd and David and Cleo Fore, Sr. and nephew, Nathan Cline.
