

IRMO – Joy Sullivan Freeman, 55, was born September 24, 1957 in Jacksonville, FL and passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013. She was a daughter of Mary Sullivan and the late Ray Sullivan. Joy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and a great friend. She was a proud registered nurse with Lexington/Irmo Urgent Care. Joy enjoyed traveling and could light up any room when she walked in.
Joy is survived by her husband of forty years, Brian K. Freeman; daughters, Jennifer (Ken) Barr, all of Irmo, Jessica (Daniel) Shull of Lexington and Rachel (Michael) Jonas of Irmo; her mother of Columbia; two brothers; three sisters; grandchildren, Cody, Christian, Devin, Noah, Brooke and Mason and father-in-law, Richard Freeman of Kailua, HI. She was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law, Dawn Freeman.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel.
