Born on August 27, 1948, in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Robert Hawkins Bedenbaugh and Ruby Boland Bedenbaugh of Prosperity. Kathy was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School, retired case worker for the South Carolina Department of Social Services and a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a son, Chris Kunkle of Columbia; a daughter, Becky (Darren) Kunkle Mills of Prosperity; a brother, Robert Boland (Glenda) Bedenbaugh of Hollywood; grandchildren, Cathryn Kunkle, Ashlyn Kunkle, Elise Mills and Blake Mills; a nephew, Robert (Heather) Bedenbaugh and a niece, Laura (Shawn) Riggs.
