Leon had a passion for carpentry and was proud of the things he accomplished, but his pride and joy were his children whom he loved without end. He was quick witted, had an infectious smile and a heart as big as the sky. He recently gave his life to Jesus and started to truly know how to live and not just be alive.
Leon was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ann and Russell Black; his grandparents, Nick and Ruth Kaloplastos; his wife, Johna Black; Aunt Dale and Uncle Johnny. He is survived by his son, Jonathan Leon Black; his daughter, Leah “Mimi” Ann Marie Black; sisters, Crystal Ann Black and Leah Rae Gendron; nephew, Leland Drake Warren and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be missed and forever loved.
Family, friends and others whose lives he touched are invited to celebrate his life with us at the First Church of the Nazarene, 901 St. Andrews Road, Columbia, SC 29210 on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11:00 am. The service may be viewed via livestream at columbianaz.com.
The family would to thank Reconciliation Ministries as they played a huge role in Leon’s walk with the Lord, and we are forever grateful.
