Mace was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran who carried the values of strength, loyalty, and dedication throughout his life. He was a man who left an impression on those around him—steadfast, resilient, and deeply committed to the people he loved.
After a courageous battle with cancer, Mace is now at peace. He fought with incredible strength, and though cancer took so much, it never took his spirit. To his family, he is and always will be a hero.
He is survived by his loving wife, Samantha Johnson, and his daughter, Scarlet Hela Johnson, his love and the light of his life.
A service to honor Mace’s life will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Florence National Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to the family’s GoFundMe (gofund.me/be950d075). You are also invited to share a story or photo on Mace’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/share/1CqcN61wdT/) to help keep his memory alive and celebrate the life he lived.
Mace will be deeply missed and forever remembered, and his love and legacy will never be forgotten. ❤️
