Marshalene Swindler Frady

Marshalene Swindler Frady, 72, died Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at her daughter’s home in Florida. Born in Columbia, SC, on March 9, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Marguerite Ivison Swindler. She worked for Siebels Bruce & Company as a Data Control Manager for twenty years and later for PMSC where she retired as a Senior Systems Analyst. Mrs. Frady was a member of Killian Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Kathy Miller (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL, Kimberlie Wilson of Lugoff, SC, Jane Gill (Thomas) of Hamilton, Ohio; grandson, Adrian “Oodie” Morlanne of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; granddaughters, Lauren Ashley Morlanne of Ft. Lauderdale, Amelia Wilson “Amy” of Amherst, MA, Kelly Wilson of Camden, SC, Sarah Jane Gill of Hamilton, OH, and a very special granddaughter, Marshalene Elizabeth Gill “Meg”; grandson, Alex Gill of Hamilton, Ohio; great grandsons, Adrian David Morlanne and Kai Morlanne, both of Ft. Lauderdale; sister, Rebecca Spears (Jackie) of Ridgeway, SC; brother, James Swindler (Delcie) of Columbia, SC; as well as many nieces and nephews with a very special great nephew, Austin Legrand Branham.

Her funeral will be held 11 o’clock, Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Killian Baptist Church, 577 West Killian Road, Columbia, with The Rev. Richard A. Humphries and The Rev. Arthur Hayes officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Spears, Michael Miller, Freddie Evans Jr., Thomas Gill, Justin Swindler, Joe Swindler, and John Wilson. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o’clock, Friday evening, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.
