He was born in Loco, Oklahoma, on March 5, 1939. Ned grew up in the country and worked hard on the family farm. He loved fishing all throughout his life. He always enjoyed a laugh and time spent with family and friends. He relaxed working in the yard and flower gardens and did carpentry whenever the weather chased him indoors.
He joined the United States Army and got to see the world. He met his wife of 59 years, Christiana, while stationed in Heidelberg, Germany. They loved traveling and always sought out a new adventure.
They have two daughters Julia Reese and Caroline Peck (John), and grandchildren, Christopher Armstrong, Alexandra Reese, Caleb Reese, and Charlotte Jacobs (Shaun).
Ned served his country honorably in the United States Army for 21 years. Even as a young boy, he loved cooking, so it became natural for him to sign up for the Hospital Mess Stewart field. He retired honorably as a Sergeant First Class.
More than anything he loved his family dearly. He was much loved and will be truly missed.
