Paul Roy Cook Jr.

Mr. Cook, a member of Bayview Baptist Church, loved to fish, watch NASCAR, and cheer for his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. He also loved his dog, Daisy.

Survivors include his parents Roy and Brenda Cook; significant other, Lesa Blackmon and daughter, Lauren; sister, Libby Cook; brother, Charlie (Kimberly) Cook; aunt, Dee (Larry) Melton; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service for Mr. Cook will be held at 3 o’clock, Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Dr., Columbia, with The Rev. Curtis Cameron officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Paul’s name to The American Heart Association, 520 Gervais St., Suite 300, Columbia, SC 29201, or to the local Humane Society, 121 Humane Lane, Columbia, SC 29209. Shives Funeral Home is assisting the family.
