IRMO - Reuben Franklin “Pete” Ridgeway, III, 70, of Irmo, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018. He was born August 17, 1947 in Columbia, SC the son of the late, Reuben Franklin Ridgeway, Jr. and Bruce Kennedy Ridgeway.
Pete was a Real Estate Broker and co-owner of Ridgeway Marketing a very successful Real Estate Marketing Company. He loved music and was a member of the band, “The Counts”, being an accomplished drummer and keyboardist. He enjoyed model airplanes and had a passion for computer technology. He successfully completed cancer treatments on July 3rd . In addition he had compassion and love for others going through the grief process. The family would like to thank Dr. Coker and Dr. Meyer for helping him achieve his goal of “ringing the bell” and also Dr. McCann and his staff for there loving care.
Surviving are his sisters, Sharon Hixson (Henry), Julie Blanchette (Jim); nephews, Cody and Brandon Hixson, Christopher Branchette (Meghan); niece, Maria Ingram (Josiah) and beloved dog, “Dutchie”. He was predeceased by his wife, Dianna Ridgeway.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at Elmwood Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with reception to follow at Elmwood Funeral Home.
