RIchard H DIggs

WEST COLUMBIA – A memorial service for Richard Harrison Diggs, 70, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Diggs was born February 15, 1943 in West Columbia and departed his life on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Lexington Extended Stay. He was a son of the late Alexander Lewis Diggs and Rosa Lee Dissoure Diggs.

He is survived by a son, Richard Diggs Jr.; sister, Edna Diggs Thompson; brother, James Eugene Diggs; nieces, nephews and a host of relatives, friends; 2 brothers-in-law; 3 sisters–in-law. He was predeceased by his sister, Roberta D. Simmons; brothers, John H. Diggs, Samuel G. Diggs, Sackfield M. Diggs, Alexander L. Diggs, Benjamin Diggs; sisters, Mary Lou Jackson and Annie L. Diggs Stewart.
