Robert served and retired from the United States Air Force. He loved the lake and going boating. He always thought of others and loved people, especially his family.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Carpenter; sons, Thomas Burt (Ellen) and Glen Carpenter; daughters, Sherri Burt (Chris Janacek), Dawn Berley (Andy), Margaret Singletary (Mike), and Cherie Galloway (Troy); as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
