Ruth Ann Horton James

Funeral services for Ruth Ann Horton James, 66, of Columbia, will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 7, 2010 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Troy Simpson officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday evening at Greenlawn Funeral Home.

Mrs. James passed away on May 4, 2010. She was born October 1, 1943 in Columbia, SC to the late Harvey Horton and Janie Haithcock Addison. She was co-owner of Joe’s Produce Market, and a former member of the Eastern Star of Lower Richland.

She is survived by her loving husband of more than 45 years, Joe B. James; daughters, Bambi Beaulieu (husband Scott) and Candace Stokes (husband Keith); four grandchildren, Brandi Beaulieu, Garrett Beaulieu, Marley Stokes and Alston Stokes; brother, Leon Horton; sister-in-law, Martha Scott; and three nieces, Jane Mills, Tammy Tremblay and Vickie McAlister.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of the Presbyterian Home of Lexington and to Harmony Hospice for the exceptional loving care they provided to Mrs. James.
