

IRMO – Ryan, 25, returned to live with his Heavenly Father on Friday, June 28, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints, 7449 Broad River Road, Irmo, SC 29063. Visitation is welcome at his family home. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Our beloved Ryan was a kind, considerate and loving person who performed acts of service for many. Being talented at baseball, he was a left-handed pitcher for his alma maters of Dutch Fork, High School and Florence Darlington Tech. He earned a degree in auto mechanics, scholarships, awards and set several school records for his academic and pitching abilities. He was an Eagle Scout and continued in scouting as an assistant scout leader. He was employed by Jim Hudson Toyota as an auto mechanic. He was a volunteer fire fighter for the Columbia Fire Department.
Left to cherish his precious memories are his parents, Bill and Teresa Heilman; brothers, Patrick (Rebecca) and Andrew (Pamela); sister, Teresa Diane Heilman and fiancé, Kevin Stone; Nana Teresa Toombs; nephew, Samuel; nieces, Alexandra, Desiree and Maegan Heilman; aunts and uncles, Jim Heilman (Lynn), Judy Cunningham, Susan Shealy and Cheri Morris (Gene); first cousins, Leah, Jeannie (Walt), Melissa (Scott) Gray, Heather, Wells, Blair and Taylor (Simon); friends, Ben, Will, Nikki, The Joe Mink family and many more friends and relatives. Ryan is predeceased by grandparents, John and Gladys Heilman, Kenneth Toombs and Uncle Fred G. Shealy.
