

COLUMBIA - Steven Hubbard Frame, 73, died Sunday, May 26, 2013 at his home following a long battle with lung cancer. He was born April 26, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late William Taylor Frame and the late Doris Hubbard Frame. Steve attended Broad Ripple High School, graduated Georgia Tech in 1962 with BSIE where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, Track Team, and IFC Honor Board. Upon graduation, Steve went to work with The Trane Co. in 1962, locating in Columbia in 1963. He was on the board of NBSC Bank, charter member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and building chairman. He then started Total Comfort Service Center in 1976 and expanded with branches in Greenville and Charleston. After selling the business, Steve retired in 2006. He was a member of Columbia Country Club and an avid golfer.
Steve is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kay Brown Frame; twin brother, Richard Frame and younger brother, David Frame; daughter, Stephanie Frame Hurt and husband, David; twin sons, David Taylor Frame and wife, Leigh and Darrell Scott Frame and wife, Andrea; grandchildren, Caroline Frame, Kaylan Frame, Grayson Tyler, Morgan Frame, twins Ethan and Evan Tyler and Zach Hurt.
There will be a private interment in Bush River Memorial Gardens with a church service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Dale Welden officiating. The family will greet those attending immediately following the service at a reception to be held in the Great Hall of the church.
