Tyrone Lamar Corpening

Tyrone Lamar Corpening was born on August 23, 1972 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, to Tyrone Rice and Lillie Mae Corpening.

Tyrone attended Ashtabula and Cleveland public schools. Tyrone accepted Christ at an early age through the teachings and lessons of the Bible from his mother and her love for Christ.

Tyrone worked odd jobs throughout his life, but he found his passion in commercial design applications, after moving to Columbia, South Carolina with his mother to so they both can be closer to the eldest. (Roosevelt)

Tyrone (Mutt) was best known for his exuberant personality though he may have held a rough dexterity, he really had a soft heart for those he cared for and would do anything to protect his family, he will forever be missed.

Tyrone was proceeded in death by his father, Tyrone Rice, grandparents; Alexander and Liana Rice, grandmother; Jean Jackson(Nay) siblings; Raymond Lindell Corpening, Robin Corpening (Diane), Lisa Antoinette Corpening, uncles; Johnny Rice, Michael Jackson, aunts; Barbara Holmes, Robertine Alexander and Louise Williams.

Tyrone leaves to cherish his memory daughters; Amyna Arielle Corpening, De‘Jer Hutchings and son Ty’reon Lamar Raymond Corpening, mother; Lillie Rice, siblings; COL (Ret) Roosevelt Corpening both of Columbia, South Carolina, Ronald Corpening of Cleveland, Ohio, Valerie Corpening Owens of Euclid, Ohio, Richard Corpening of Maple Heights, Ohio, Jami Chapman(Byran) of Garfield Heights, . Ohio and Reginald Corpening of Cleveland Ohio, plus a host of nieces and nephews cousins and friends.

A gathering of family and friends for Tyrone will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 4219 Hard Scrabble Rd, Columbia, South Carolina 29223, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm.
