Agnes Yarbrough Wilson

A memorial service will be held in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 6:00 PM. Family will visit with friends after the service. Agnes will be laid to rest next to her parents in Parkhill Cemetery.

Agnes was born on June 14, 1929 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Leila Gentry Yarbrough and Council Yarbrough. She worked for IBM for many years. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with family and frineds. Agnes was a walking dictionary, family and friends would consult her for knowledge in regards to words and definitions. She loved word puzzles, but most of all she loved her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Ensminger (Richard); son Frank “Sparky” Wilson, Jr. (Janet); her grandchildren: Brian Wilson (Alesia), Alexandra Wilson, Kristen Stafford, and Courtney Heath (Scott); great grandchildren: Connor Heath, Laney Heath, Amelia Stafford, Kimber Stafford, Gunnar Stafford, and Trista Wilson; sisters: Derothea Miller and Eloise Jones; and numerous other family and friends.
