Anna Margarete McCoy

She was born on February 11, 1938 in Germany. Anna married the late Basil W. McCoy, they traveled to many places during his service with the U.S. Army, retiring to the Columbus area. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Columbus. Anna took pride in helping others, especially through the Brown Bag of Columbus. She took in ironing for others, doing so until her health wouldn’t allow. Anna loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren enjoying their company and spending time with them. She will be greatly missed.

She leaves her legacy to be cherished to her children: Susie Masuoka (Peter), Michael McCoy, and Bradley James McCoy (Diane); her six loving grandchildren and four loving great-grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Basil W. McCoy and daughter, Kathy McCoy.

Family will visit with friends on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby of Columbus. A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Reverend David Lix officiating in Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia.
