Annie Merle Rose

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 3:00 PM with Reverend Ed Kvietkus officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time of the service. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery.

Annie Merle Rose was born on October 7, 1922 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Forest B. Rose and Rotchie D. Head Rose. She worked in the Tax Commissioner’s Office as an assistant. She was a long time member of Rosehill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sisters, Eloise R. Kelly and Julia Rose Goodman, and a brother, William B. Rose, Sr.

Survivors include her brothers, Harold E. Rose, Sr. and Donald J. Rose; nieces, Elandra Waddell Milburn, Barbara Anne Goodman Etters, Constance Ann Rose Howard, Minnie Carol Rose Motes, Paula Olivia Rose Lowery, Gina Madeline Rose Zobal, Ann Bowcock, and Beth Reich; nephews: Byron Andrew Waddell, Jr., Wilburn Ellis Goodman, Jr., William Byron Rose, Jr., Joseph Edward Rose, Michael Byrd Rose, James Stephen Rose, Larry DeFord Rose, Gary Moye Rose, Harold E. Rose, Jr., Grady L. Rose, Kevin Stuart Rose, and David Rose. Her family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers, Linda Baldwin and her associates, who watched over Annie Merle constantly during her last years.
