I remember the time you went and got your hair done. All us kids were in a water fight in the house. You came to the front door and I can't remember. which one of us got you. But you were really mad. We will all see each other in heaven. You are not in any more pain.

You left us unexpectedly but I have to believe it is all part of God's plan.

Betty Lou Smith was an amazing woman with a very rare talent - she seemed to care for the well-being of others before her own. I am fortunate to have been nearly raised by her. She taught me a lot but most importantly she opened my eyes to what the word "family" really means. 
I have been grieving deeply lately since her passing but honestly... I am happy for my grandmother. She is in a MUCH better place... and I know I can not physically embrace her anymore but I still feel her. I feel the strength she always gave to me... and I truly feel it now more than ever. We all love you, Grandma. I look forward to reuniting with you one day.

I am truly saddened to hear of your recent loss of your mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and words cannot express my sincere condolences to you and the family on the recent passing of "Grandma Betty. Even though I am no longer legally part of the family, I still consider each and every one part of my family, to this day. I am so glad that Grandma Betty got to see and hold her Great Grand-Daughter, Katharine Gail Newman. She is now with God waiting for the day when we all reunite with her. So sorry for the loss of your mother. She will be greatly missed by all. I remeber the times i came and spent some weekends with all of you when you lived in Burlington, Ia. Those were the days. Even though we grown and went are different ways. You was loved by all. And we will miss you,as now you rest in peace and now walk with the lord, for you will never have any pain again.

Grandma Betty, you were the first face I saw the day I was born. You helped deliver me and held me even before Mom did. Of course, these memories were yours, not mine. I wish I would have sat and talked with you more, I feel like I lost a lot of "us" time as the years went by and I wish I could get just one moment longer to tell you how much I love you. You are now walking with my Mom, and I hope that where ever you two have gone is a peaceful place where you two can catch up. I feel more alone now, and I can't tell you how hard this is, saying Goodbye after you left the party.
