Billy T. Kitchens

Billy T. Kitchens, age 76, resident of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. Visitation is scheduled at Striffler-Hamby, Columbus on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. Private burial will be held at a later date.

Mr. Kitchens was born February 2, 1942 in Macon, Georgia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served his country honorably. Mr. Kitchens owned and operated D&B Fence Company until his retirement. He was an active member of the American Legion of Columbus.

Mr. Kitchens was preceded in death by his former wife, Phyllis Kitchens. He is survived by his long time companion, Isa of Columbus; daughter, Dawn Allen of Columbus; sister, Marsha (Wendell) Barefoot of Haddock, Georgia; brother, Jimmy (Theresa) Mullis of Chickamauga, Georgia; loving family, Dana (Alex) Lawski of Waverly Hall, Georgia and Robert (Rebecca) Ammons of Salem, Alabama; grandchildren, Brittany Orr, Matthew (Krystal) Allen, James Allen, Avery Lawski, Brad Ammons and Nathan Ammons; great-grandchildren, Christian Orr, Nicholas Orr, Piper Allen, Aubree Leddon, Ryan Leddon, and Brice Leddon; many other relatives and friends.
