Bob Allen Horne September 11, 1940- April 2, 32015 Columbus, GA- Bob Allen Horne, 74, passed away April 2, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. Bob was born September 11, 1940 in Florala, AL to Vern and Mary Jones Horne. Bob served his country as a Vietnam Army Veteran, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association. He was a contract carrier for the Columbus Ledger Enquirer for the Ellerslie, GA area for over ten years. Bob was well loved by his family and his customers, and will be missed by all. The family will receive guests, Tuesday, April 7, 2015 5:00- 7:00 pm in the Linwood Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. A Graveside Celebration of Bob's Life with Military Honors will be April 8, 2015, 11:00 am, at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, with Reverend Mike Reeves Officiating. Other than his parents, Bob is preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Elsie Horne; three daughters, Mary Alesia Horne Vandall, Sandra Faye Horne, Teresa Dawn Horne, and many nieces and nephews.
