Brenda Gayle Bounds Hilderbrand

A service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. The Reverend Bob Hawkins will be officiating. The family will receive family and friends, Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Philip Hilderbrand; her children, Brian Hilderbrand and his wife, Becky, and Melissa Hilderbrand Germann; her grandchildren, Graydon Germann, Presley and Brooks Hilderbrand; one brother, Terry Bounds and his wife Ellen, their son, Adam Bounds and his wife Jessica and their son, Campbell; two sisters-in-law, Sheryl Wright and her husband, Allen and their daughter Allison, Denise Simpson and her husband, Gary and their children, Jessica, Amy, Matt and Wes; two brothers- in-law, Carter Hilderbrand and his wife, Edna and Bob Hilderbrand; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Frances Bounds and a sister, Kathy Bounds.

Brenda was born May 16, 1947 in Columbus, GA. She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Frances Campbell Bounds. Brenda, along with her husband, Philip was the owner and operators of Peach State Cabinets. She was also an active member of Cascade Hills Church. At Cascade she served as a Greeter, member of the Invitation Team and a member of the School of The Bible. Throughout her life, Brenda touched the lives of many youth as a teacher and coach.
