

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 30, 2015 in the Turner Chapel at St. Luke United Methodist Church, the Reverend Robert Beckum will be officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service in Turner Chapel.
Mrs. Boland was born September 21, 1921 in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of L.L. Caudle, Sr. and Ina Lane Roddye and moved to Columbus in 1943. She was a lifelong Methodist and an active member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, having served on the Administrative Board, and served as Chairman of Circle 4. She was a member of the Mimosa Garden Club, Green Island Garden Club, Columbus Museum, Historic Columbus Foundation, and the Medical Center Auxiliary where she volunteered in the gift shop for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, James Kilgo West and John A. Boland, Sr., brothers, L.L. Caudle Jr., and Wilson Roddye Caudle.
Survivors include her daughter, Emily Carolyn Edson and her husband, Cal; sons, Lane Bradford West and his wife, Pam, Robert Partin West and his wife, Debora, and Joseph Henry West and his wife, Georgia; grandchildren, Lane Bradford West, Jr., Carl Talbot West, Wesley Ash Davis and his wife, Jennifer, Matthew Ferguson Davis and his wife, Kate, Stephen Caudle West and his wife, Ashley, Joel Adams West, Rebecca Carolyn West, Katherine West Moody and her husband, John, Jonathan Kilgo West and his wife, Amy, and Matthew Roberts West and his wife, Sarah; ten great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, The Valley Rescue Mission, or to your favorite charity.
