Charles Fairbanks

Charles Fairbanks, age 81, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018. Charles was born the son of the late Arthur Louis Fairbanks and Georgia May Weaver Fairbanks August 4, 1937 in Sandwich, Massachusetts.

Mr. Fairbanks joined in the U.S. Army and served in the Infantry. Later in life, he owned Fairbanks Motor's Inc. and sold vehicles. He loved spending time with his family and friends; he also enjoyed animals and going to church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Fairbanks; three step children; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; 9 nieces and 6 nephews.

Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10:00 am in Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks contributions be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, Animal Ark Rescue or a charity of your choice.
