Charles Edward “Eddie” Little, 59, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and great friend who will be greatly missed. Eddie was born on October 23, 1958, he grew up in the Columbus area and was a Baker High School graduate. Eddie’s love of the ocean drew him to live near the ocean. He worked many years on yachts as a chef and traveled the ocean meeting new people and discovering new places. Eddie was a strong swimmer and loved to snorkel and go deep sea fishing. He had a passion for rescue dogs and it was evident through his two canine companions, Flash and Wanda. Eddie is preceded in death by his brother, David Little.
He leaves his legacy to be cherished by his Mother and Stepfather, Barbara and Raymond Halaby, Kennesaw, Georgia; Aunt Nancy Childers and family, Salem, Alabama; Aunt and Uncle Judy and Matt Maddox and family, Box Springs, Georgia; Uncle and Aunt William and Pam Swindle and family, Valley, Alabama; Nephew and Wife, Chaz and Joni Little and family, Gray Court, South Carolina; Niece and Husband Leah and Colin Burnette and family, Simpsonville, South Carolina.
A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
