Charles “Rusty” Williams, Jr., age 55, resident of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at his residence. Graveside services are scheduled at Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus on Thursday, May 26, 2016, 3 p.m. with Reverend (Dr.) Don Wilhite officiating. The family will receive friends in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 5-7 p.m.
Mr. Williams, son of Betty Ruth Andrews Williams and the late Charles Gordon Williams, Sr. was born December 11, 1960 in Columbus. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and worked for Gateway Lincoln Mercury, Columbus. Mr. Williams worked in the automobile industry for over 40 years and enjoyed restoring classic cars as a past time.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy K. Williams. Mr. Williams is survived by two daughters, Ashleigh Williams-Conley and her husband Chad of Cataula, Georgia and Alexis Claire Williams-Greene and her husband Timothy of Columbus; his mother, Betty Williams of Columbus; three grandchildren, Eric Conley, Donavin Conley, and Layla Greene; one sister, Wendy Bufford of Columbus; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
