Charlotte A. Blose

Charlotte A. Blose, 62, passed away on June 11, 2012. Funeral services will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Waverly Hall Cemetery at 12:00 PM. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.

Charlotte was born on July 6, 1949 to the late Master Sergeant James B. and Catherine S. McGehee in Ft. Benning, GA. She earned both her MED and EDS in Media from the University of West Georgia. She worked 25 years for the Muscogee County School System. At Carver, Benning Hills, and Muscogee Elementary, she touched many lives. She was a member of the Chattahoochee Valley Daylily Society and a long time patron of the Springer Opera House.

Survivors include her daughters, Tina Friend (Edward, Jr.) of Manchester, GA and Jennifer Blose of Columbus, GA; one cherished granddaughter, Rebecca Ann; three brothers, James B. McGehee, Jr. (Niki) of Cross Junction, VA, Charles B. McGehee of Columbus, GA and Billy F. McGehee (JoAnne) of Valdosta, GA.

Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made to the Springer Opera House, 103 Tenth Street, Columbus, GA 31901.
