

Christine was born June 12, 1954 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of Walter Emrich, Jr. and Dorothy Reynolds Emrich Kester. She was raised in Coraopolis, PA and graduated from Montour High school.
In addition to her parents, Christine is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Gary Hurley, her siblings, Margaret Mariani, Walter Emrich, III, Faith Ashraf, Michelle Siebel, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Christine traveled abroad extensively, living in West Berlin for 3 years. She was a very caring person who loved to give back to her community. Christine was a founding member of Santa’s Castle at Ft. Benning, GA, an organization that provides gifts to the children of soldiers facing hardships.
Christine had a passion for training horses for Dressage, which is a highly skilled form of riding performed in exhibition and competition. Christine was a Catholic by faith and attended St. Mark United Methodist Church.
A service to celebrate Christine’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 7, 2016 in Edgewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. The Reverend Scott Tucker will officiate. Following the service, the family requests that you join them for a reception in honor of Christine in Edgewood Hall.
