Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Friday, November 5, 2010, 1 p.m. with Reverend (Dr.) LeBron Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Freeman Turner.
Mrs. Turner, daughter of the late James A. Clark and Elizabeth Weatherford Clark, was born December 25, 1925 in Hurtsboro, AL. She was a long time member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Turner is survived by one daughter, Janet Turner Hurley of Fairhope, AL; one son, Bruce Freeman Turner of Houston, TX; one sister, Adra Kennemer of West Palm Beach, FL; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
