Daniel Abiye Seifu, 32, of Columbus, GA, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, July 24, 2022 in Edgewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church from 3-4:30. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.
Danny was born on September 18th, 1989 in Troy, NY, to Dr. Abiye and Kidist Seifu. At the age of two, he and his family moved to Columbus, Georgia where he picked up the love of soccer and skateboarding. In 2007, he graduated from Northside Highschool. After graduating, Danny married the love of his life, Taylor, and moved to Michigan. He received his Associates degree from Washtenaw College in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After graduating, Danny and his wife moved to Baltimore, Maryland where he spent time as a missionary for the homeless and a volunteer for his church’s youth ministry. He was attending Towson University before having to return home to Columbus, GA due to his health.
Danny leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, deep compassion, and an infectious joyful spirit. He was the life of the party and never left a room without making a friend, no matter how different he or she was. He had a way of building and connecting with people that is unmatched and will truly be missed.
Danny is survived by his proud parents, Abiye and Kidist Seifu; sisters, Else and Leah Seifu; and wife, Taylor Seifu.
