David Lee Bowman, 73, of Columbus, Georgia passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family under the care of Columbus Hospice. He was born on May 6, 1952, in Phenix City, Alabama to Mary Finley Bowman and Robert Lee Bowman.
He loved his family beyond measure. David had a passion for any and all auto racing. He also enjoyed Braves baseball, Alabama football, PC beach trips, southern rock music, and classic cars.
David leaves his loving memory to be cherished by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Bowman; son Mike Bowman and his wife Kelly-their children: Grant McQueen-Brantley and Sofia, Katelynn and Stanton Forsyth-Lily, Karlee and Wrinley, Brea Brown, and Peyton Bowman; son Stanley Bowman and his wife Alyse-their children: Gabby Bowman and Leo Bowman; brother, Donnie Bowman and his wife Joyce; sister, Marie Daughtry and her husband Kenneth; and other family and friends.
A graveside service to celebrate David’s life will be held in Evergreen Memorial Park, 4400 St. Mary’s Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 at 2:00 PM.
