

Debra Plaisted was a loving wife, mother and friend who was full of life, she passed away on January 15, 2021 at her home. She lived her life motivated by love, compassion and joy for life in general.
Debra was the wife of the late Keith Plaisted, mother of Brandon and Blake. She lived every moment of her life for her husband and sons. She had a passion for life itself. She saw the beauty in her family and made sure they were provided for life itself. Debra was a rare gem that will be forever in the hearts of her sons, Brandon and Blake, no one can and will ever hold a light to her memory.
Debra was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia, She was a graduate of Hardaway High School and furthered her education at Oklahoma College. She married Robert Keith in 1976 together they had two sons and raised them with the values of life that would take them to higher places. Her first and top priority in life was her family as her first and most valuable career. She would take on a second career at Total Systems as Senior Vice President of Client Relations Division and held that for over 25 years.
She loved to have fun, laugh, dance, sing and celebrate this life to the fullest. In her leisure time you would find Debra at the beach and enjoying time with her family. Debra instilled the values of life for her sons to be polite and kind to others, respectful, and let you know "you can attract bees with honey and not vinegar".
Debra leaves her loving legacy to be cherished by her sons: Brandon Plaisted and Blake Plaisted; her loving grandchildren: Madeline Grace, Keith and Braxton Plaisted; her sister, Vickie Jones; her brother, Jimmy Leonard; a host of other family members.
Family will visit with friends at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, Georgia on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM in Parkhill Cemetery.
