Denise Mary Fogle

Denise Mary Fogle, 89, of Columbus, Georgia died peacefully at her home on July 26, 2017. A Rosary and Visitation Service will be Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 at 4:00pm, followed by visitation until 6:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 2000 Kay Circle, Columbus, GA 31907 on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11:00am. A private family interment will be at the Main Post Cemetery, Fort Benning, Georgia.

Mrs. Fogle was born May 28, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA daughter to the late Louis Ganseman and Jeanne Ganseman. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was active in the Catholic Church, especially in the Legion of Mary and Missionary Cenacle Apostolate. In retirement, she made rosaries for several years. Her work life included selling Avon and being a teaching assistant and librarian. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, SSG (Ret) Charles George Fogle.

Survivors include her children, Charles J. Fogle (Toni), Louis A. Fogle (Malinda), Mary T. Staudenraus, Paul P. Fogle (June), Jeanne M. Casteel (Phillip), and Patricia M. Land; and grandchildren Heather Fogle, Nicholas Fogle (Tricia), Monica Jahed (Kaveh), Sara Hall (Andy), Kelly Kisner (Michael), Eric McRoberts, Katherine Staudenraus, Phillip Casteel, and 15 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
