Donald Ray Stinson, 71, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024. He was born on October 6th, 1953 to the late Howard Smiley Stinson and Annie Ruth Howard. Donald was a lifelong resident of Columbus where he was a painter by trade working for himself under Stinson Painting. He loved to fish when he had the opportunity, but his passion was racing dragsters. Donald loved going to the dragstrips in Phenix City, Alabama and other tracks throughout the southeast. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and especially loved him.
Donald leaves his legacy to be cherished by his children: Shannon (Tony) Rush, Justin Stinson (Jennifer Epolite), and Michelle (Marty) Fuller; his grandchildren: Brittiney Marquez, Kali Elliott, Kamdyn Eike, Dalton Elliott, Addisyn Fuller, Karlee Fuller, Liam Rush, Willow Rush and Brayden Stinson; his four great grandchildren; his brother, Dale (Dawn) Stinson; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Ruth Barnes and Howard Stinson; his sister, Gayle Stinson; and his wife Elaine Stinson.
