Doris Harp

Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Monday, June 18, 2012, 3 p.m. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 3-5 p.m.

Mrs. Harp, daughter of the late William Starling and Ossie Lee Starling, was born December 10, 1925 in Henry County, AL. She was Baptist by faith and retired from Swift Spinning Mills. Mrs. Harp was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Harp and grandson, Tony Grimes. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Efurd and her husband Dean of Phenix City, AL and Patsy McGregor and her husband Lee of Augusta, GA; two sons, William "Buddy" Harp and his wife Renee of Columbus and Johnny Harp and his wife Carolyn of Ellerslie, GA; two sisters, Irma Ready of Cowarts, AL and Gladys Brown of Headland, AL; three brothers, A.R. Starling and his wife Merle of Dothan, AL, Homer Starling and his wife Janice of Dothan, AL, and William Starling of Baker Hill, AL; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
