

Wife, mama, nanny, sister, aunt. She was a perfect example of unwavering faith and love for family. With not a selfish bone in her body she cared and worried about her family and friends until her last breathe on earth. She was the prime example of God's commandment Love thy neighbor. It was the simplest things that made her happy, God, family and friends. She will be deeply missed as we continue our journey until we reunite again in Heaven. She enjoyed helping others and loved her job as a CNA for many years at Cobb Memorial hospital and after they closed she later retired from Muscogee Manor. She was a member of Red Hill Christian Church and was very active until her illness.
She is survived by her Loving Husband of 63 years Talmadge Welch, her sister Lavern Welch, her Children Burrell (Angie) Welch, Sylvia (John) Ruse, Jimmy (Karol Koenig) Welch, her Grandchildren Ginnifer (Alton) Shavers, Jeremy Welch, Angelo (Christie) Owens, Wayne Welch, Jessica Welch, her Great Grandchildren Curt (Heather) Shavers, Justin Shavers, Kendall (Brandon) Riley, Jayson Jackson, Brandon Welch, Dylan Welch, Brian Napier Jr., Desirae Owens, Katelyn Welch, Dalton Welch, Sierra Owens & Great Great Grandchildren Bailey-Rae, Easton & Brentleigh Shavers & Blakely Welch and Many loving nieces and nephews.
Her family will visit with friends Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the St. Elmo room. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby with Reverend Clyde Grimsley officiating. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.
