I'll aways remember my cousin Doug as one of my favorites. I admit that as a young teen, I had a big crush on him, but he had no time for a silly teenager!  Rest in peace Doug <3

Adam, I'm very sorry for the loss of your Dad. It has been a very long time,  but I remember him very well and always enjoyed visiting your family and the store. 

I am thinking of all of you and my many fond memories of Doug and Cheryl and all the wonderful summers spent at the dairy farm with them and my dear Aunt Edith.  For a family that used to be so close, we have drifted too far apart.  For all the memories not made, I am regretful.  Doug has left a wonderful legacy in his family and friends.  Now he is among those who went before him and hopefully, we will all be together again one day.

I remember Baby Doug (as I called him).  I had just turned 18 and was newly married to Klutts Self (Edith Anthony's brother) on Dec 30, 1950.  Our first home was with Mr. & Mrs. Anthony - Doug's grandparents.  I babysat Doug most days and it was such a joy!  That's why I call him 'Baby Doug'.  Those were such happy times and I loved his grandmother so much. I also have fond memories of Larry, Lamar, and Jerry.  Cheryl was yet to come.  Anyway, I want to wish my sweet baby boy 'Sweet Dreams'.

Doug I only knew you for a couple of years. I always enjoyed talking to you.  I enjoyed doing things for you around your house or your store. I would do everything again if I had to. I appreciate all the conversations that we had and I appreciate the friendship that we got to build over the last two years. Rest high my friend.

I’ll never forget when we played monopoly on New Years Eve at Doug’s house. Riley was a little over a year and was bouncing to Justin Bieber. Doug was laughing at her because she would only bounce if Justin Bieber was singing, not anyone else. Then Doug asked Corey to get him a drink out of the kitchen and Doug and I hid some of his money. We laughed and laughed. It was one of my most favorite memories of bringing in the New Year.

Mr. Anthony also leaves other relative and friends to cherish his memory. Doug will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
