Eddie Watson Goodman

Eddie W. Goodman, 72, of Columbus, GA passed away December 27, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. He was born January 31, 1943 in Fort Benning, GA to his late parents Eddie Connel and Lois Haisten Fowler. Eddie later took the last name of the father he knew, the late Charles Goodman. He was a 1961 graduate of Jordan Vocational High School before joining The United States Marine Corp where he served during the Vietnam Conflict and was retired from Pratt Whitney. His passion was to share his love of Hot Rods and fishing with his family, especially with his grandchildren.

The family will welcome guests for visitation Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 5:00- 7:00 pm in The Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Interment with honors will be Thursday , December 31, 2015, 10:00 am at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. Memorial Services will be in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Thursday, December 31, at 1:00 pm.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Goodman and two grandchildren, Camille Goodman and Chloe Dixon. He is survived by his loving wife Carol Goodman of Columbus; four children, Larry Goodman, Shane Goodman, Dawn Goodman-Leggett and her husband Nick, and Katie Goodman; five grandchildren, Noah Goodman, Tanner Leggett, Owen Leggett, Taylin Leggett, and Trevor Leggett; niece, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
