On December 3, 2020 this world as we know it will not be the same for the family of Edward D. Robinson (DeWayne), a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to anyone fortunate enough to grace his presence. Heaven gained another angel.
DeWayne was born on December 5, 1961 in Phenix City, Alabama to Raymond L. Robinson, Sr. and Annette Bailey Robinson. DeWayne was married to the love of his life, Janet for 28 years before her passing in 2008. He was a hard worker and supported his family. DeWayne worked for Liberty Utilities for over 35 years. He enjoyed family cookouts, grilling for his company and grilling for fundraisers.
He was a devoted Christian who leaned on his faith and had a heart full of compassion. DeWayne was always there to help someone in need and gave all he had to those he loved. He will be forever in the hearts of all who loved him.
DeWayne leaves his legacy to be cherished by his loving daughters: Kimberly Allred and her husband Aaron, Amanda Houghton and her husband Jamie, Samantha Cole and her husband Caleb; his siblings: Dale Robinson and his wife Sallie, Penny Cheek and her husband Doug, Raymond Robinson Jr, and his wife Karen; his father Raymond Robinson, Sr.; and his grandkids, Emalee, Dean, Charlotte, and Piper. He is preceded in death by his wife Janet Robinson and his grandson Morgan Forsythe.
Family will visit with friends at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary on Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the St. Elmo Room. A Graveside service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 1:00 PM in Parkhill Cemetery. For the safety of those attending the services it is recommended wearing face covering and social distancing.
