

Efrain Ramos, Sr., of Columbus, died Friday morning, June 30, at his home in Midland. Efrain served in the U.S. Army for 22 years where he retired as a Sgt. First Class. After his career in the U.S. Army, he worked for 17 years as a member of AFLAC’s SIC team until his retirement in 2009. Efrain enjoyed traveling with his family, reading, going out for breakfast, and laughing. He never met a stranger and will be missed by so many. He is preceded in death by Julio Ramos (father), Olga Abreu Ramos (mother), Olga Calderon (sister), and Dylan Rose Dorchak (granddaughter). He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 44 years, Angelina Ramos, his son, Efrain Ramos (Wendy), his daughter, Angie Ramos Dorchak, his brother, Tony Ramos (Annette), his grandchildren, Noah, Isabella, and Micah Ramos and Scarlett Rain Dorchak. Along with his immediate family, he is survived by other family members including aunts, uncles, sister in laws and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Thursday, July 6, at Striffler Hamby from 6-8pm. Funeral is Friday, July 7, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church at 11am. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Dylan Rose Dorchak Memorial Scholarship at St. Anne’s Pacelli School.
